Hi there!
I’m Carly, an artist, art teacher, and mum of two (three if you count the fur baby), born and living on Millowl/Phillip island. I’ve been creating art for as long as I can remember, and have been developing and evolving my own style over many years. My experiences and life on the island have lead me to see and feel the environment from a unique perspective, which I share through art. The impressionistic landscapes I create are influenced by the incredible coastlines, and other loved and recognisable locations, right on my doorstep. I hope you enjoy exploring my colourful and creative work as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
PROJECTS
The Ivy Plant Studio Whale Tail
I had the pleasure of painting the whale tail for the incredible team at the Ivy Plant Studio as part of the Phillip Island Whale Festival. Bringing Cape Woolamai to life on this tail was a lot of fun and the Ivy team are a dream to work with.
Dunham Lane Mural
In 2021 I was selected to complete a mural for Bass Coast Shire as part of a Regional Arts Victoria project to liven up some parts of Wonthaggi with some new street art. This was the first large scale project for me and was a challenge and delight to be part of.
Cape Kitchen
I teamed up with the amazing crew from The Cape Kitchen to bring the stunning exclusive view out the front of their spectacular venue to life on their whale tail.
